Rebin and B.STIM win Startup Programme ‘Expedition DO!’ 2023

During Expedition DO! 2023’s final event ‘Rebin’ en ‘B.STIM’ won the Student and Researcher prizes.

On 5 October Ghent’s entrepreneurial community gathered to see the Expedition DO! 2023 finalist teams pitch their hearts out. An expert jury amongst which Claire Tillekaerts, Bart De Waele and Jan Hollez awarded a winner in both the students as researchers category. Both winners receive a starting capital of 5.000 euros.

Rebin: Student Winner
This team of economics and engineering students Emilio Van Der Linden, Kyanu Delrue and Simon De Geyter helps municipalities and cities do efficient waste collection. By connecting a sensor to their software, Rebin monitors the public bin level and generates the most efficient collection route. Sustainability and cost efficiency are key.

B.STIM: Researcher Winner
Researcher Lais Razza is a neuropsychologist specialised in the application of brain stimulation to treat mental health disorders. B.STIM wants to make mental health treatments more efficient by using precision brain stimulation intervention in a user-friendly, home-based device.

Expedition DO! supports entrepreneurial Ghent University students and researchers to go from idea to startup in the course of 7 months. Expedition DO! 2023 was powered by Belfius, Comate, we are, Liantis & De Groote – De Man. The next edition departs in March 2024, applications will open on 31 januari 2024.
