What ?
Between October and December 2022, student teams with great ideas in mobility, manufacturing, circular economy, food and health can use the project work they work on within their courses to team up with other international teams in an international setting, and get entrepreneurial with their idea!
Teams will create a business model canvas and pitch their idea to industry experts to win rewards and prepare for startup creation!

Start for Future ?
Start For Future is an alliance for open entrepreneurship and co-creation, supported by 16 European universities, their associated partners and the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT).
Student from the below international universities & incubators will be matched with each other during the Learn programme to turn their startup idea into reality!

The Start For Future Learn programme empowers student entrepreneurship by challenging students to:
- think with an entrepreneurial mindset
- develop innovative solutions to current innovation challenges of EIT Urban Mobility, Manufacturing, Health, Food & Raw Materials
- interface and work together with a tandem team through international exchange
- pitch to international EIT industry experts
- make their idea ready for startup creation!
The following Ghent University courses & professors participate in the Start For Future Entrepreneurial Education track this semester:

- Smart Product Design (Jelle Saldien)
- Entrepreneurship & business administration (Joachim Schouteten)
- Human-centered and interaction design (Bastiaan Baccarne)
Students that follow one of these courses and work on a challenge within our challenge areas can apply for the programme!
Students that join Start For Future Learn enjoy a number of benefits:

Learn schedule
Between 17th of October and 12th of December 202, Learn teams participate in 5 International sessions, for a total of 7,5h international exchange.
The sessions will be online videoconferences, and follow the below schedule. Your team can choose to be in the early or the late session for the entire track. Choose wisely, because switching mid track is not supported.
17 Oct: Start For Future Kickoff & EIT input
12:00-13:30 CET or 16:00-17:30 CET
24 Oct: Project team & peer feedback
12:00-14:00 CET or 16:00-18:00 CET
14 Nov: Feedback of experts and tandem team
12:00-13:00 CET or 16:00-17:00 CET
28 Nov: business model & pitch preparation
12:00-13:00 CET or 16:00-17:00 CET
12 Dec: Final pitch & rewards ceremony

Project complete: what's next?
Pitching your idea at thefinal presentations is not necessarily the end! Motivated teams with a strong, viable project can choose to take their idea further during the Match & Start phase and eventually join the International Open Incubator, such as Expedition DO!.
