Then join the DO! Innovation Day on Saturday 11 November 2023. Expect to be immersed in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship. As part of a team and in the inspirational setting of WATT The Firms, you will tackle a challenge from society. Teams with members from diverse educational backgrounds will be formed (at the start of the day). As a result, all participants learn a lot from each other and the best results are guaranteed.

THEME OF THIS EDITION IS: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The general theme of this DO! Innovation Day is AI (Artificial Intelligence). If you have prior knowledge about AI: great! If you don’t, that’s no problem at all. No prior knowledge is needed to participate, we’ll make sure to immerse you during the day.
We’ll offer various challenges and you will be able to select the challenge you want to work on.
Depending on the challenge you choose (on the day), the topic of AI will play a different role :
- either you’ll work on a challenge from today’s society and will look into solving it by means of AI.
- either you’ll tackle a challenge in today’s world that is caused by AI.

COURSE OF THE DAY
The 14 hour-day starts at 08:00 AM with breakfast, afterwards teams will be formed. During the day you’ll dive into fully understanding your challenge and we’ll guide you to brainstorm about new ideas, to conceptualise. After dinner, all teams will pitch the results of their day. We’ll officially round up around 21:00 PM but there will be closing drinks and a chance to network until 22:00 PM.
The focus of the day is on learning to go from problem to solution and being able to present this solution in a clear way. We encourage to think outside the box and experience the value of working with people from different disciplines.
Motivation and an appetite for teamwork are key to a successful Innovation Day. Because you focus intensively on 1 challenge during a short period of time, you will come up with results you wouldn’t have dared to dream of. Your innovative solution might well shape the society of the future.
Experienced innovation specialists, coaches and topic experts will be ready to support you throughout the day. So in addition, the DO! Innovation Day provides the possibility to make interesting connections and gain insight in future opportunities.

WHO CAN REGISTER?
The DO! Innovation Day is aimed at students and researchers, although we’ve also reserved some tickets for motivated external participants.
Registration is easy: you just select the appropriate ticket type and register individually. At the start of the Innovation Day we’ll help you form teams and select a challenge you’re interested in.
There is no need for any prior knowledge to join the Innovation Day so don’t hesitate and just book your ticket.

PRACTICALITIES
We expect each participant to be physically present on the location of WATT The Firms from 8 AM until at least 21:00 PM on Saturday 11 November 2023.
Everything you need, will be provided: drinks, food (from breakfast till dinner), the necessary materials, leisure opportunities, fun breaks. You name it!
The event will take place in English.
