Steven Vercammen came across DO! during his doctorate. He observed that only one in every six people who suffer a heart attack actually survive. Steven wanted to save lives and founded EVapp – Emerging Volunteer Application in 2014. This is a smartphone application that mobilises medically trained volunteers in case of cardiac arrest to bridge the time until the arrival of the emergency service. In 2014, Steven was a finalist with EVapp for Gentrepreneur Student Entrepreneur of the Year.
Steven had a taste for entrepreneurship and founded Prior-IT in 2015. This is a young and dynamic company that develops medical software and life saving solutions for companies and governments. Through his knowledge and the necessary coaching, Steven was able to accomplish two wonderful projects that have made the world a little bit better.
