What ?

Entrepreneurial Education is the name of the first phase in the 3 phase Start For Future (SFF) programme.

Between April and June 2022, student teams with great ideas in Urban Mobility, Manufacturing & Health, Food can use the project work they work on within their courses to team up with other international teams in an international setting, and get entrepreneurial with their idea! Teams will create a business model canvas and pitch their idea to Industry Experts to win rewards and prepare for Startup creation!

Start For Future is an alliance for Open Entrepreneurship and CO-Creation, supported by 16 European Universities, their associated partners and the European Institute for Innovation & Technology (EIT).

Student from the below International Universities & Incubators will be matched with each other during the Entrepreneurial Education programme to turn their startup idea into reality!

Entrepreneurial Education schedule

Between 6th of April and 8th of June 2021, EUAcceL teams can participate in 5 International sessions, for a total of 7,5h International exchange.

The Sessions will be online videoconferences, and follow the below schedule. Your team can choose to be in the early or the late session for the entire track. Choose wisely, because switching mid track is not supported.

6 April: Start For Future Kickoff & EIT input
Start For Future presents the collaboration framework & programme outline, EIT experts provide input: 1,5 hour session:
12:00-13:30 CEST or 16:00-17:30 CEST
20 April: tandem team peer review
Teams present project, get matched with tandem team & create collaboration agreement: 2 hour session
12:00-14:00 CEST or 16:00-18:00 CEST
04 May: Industry experts & tandem team sparring
Pitch your idea to an Industry Expert & get feedback Breakout rooms for 1 expert + 2 teams: 1 hour session
12:00-13:00 CEST or 16:00-17:00 CEST
18 May: business model & pitch preparation
Business model canvas & Pitch preparation: breakout rooms for 1 expert + 2 teams: 1 hour session

23 May: Pitch @ Local Ghent Final
Final Presentation of Ghent projects in a local pitch event at the foundry in Gent. Pitches will be recorded and sent as video to Start For Future for presentation in the Grand Final (during exams). Teams that can fit it in their schedule can also pitch live at the Grand finals in June. 2 hour live event + networking

Final Presentation of projects + EIT rewards SRINT Call awarding best projects: 2 hour session

Project complete: what's next?

Pitching your idea at the Start For Future Grand Final in June is not necessarily the end!
Motivated teams with a strong, viable project can choose to take their idea further over the summer break in our Pre-incubation SPRINT (Phase 2) and next year in our International Open Incubator program (Phase 4).
Our very own: Expedition DO! will be one of the available incubator tracks in Phase 3.
